To subscribe to or unsubscribe from Fred's mailing list, just enter your email address below, and click the appropriate button.
When subscribing, you will receive a confirmation request by email to make sure no one can sign you up to the list without your permission.
Just send an empty reply to the confirmation to complete the process - you don't need to say anything, just send a blank reply!
About the mailing list / privacy policy
Fred uses the mailing list to distribute his latest column directly to you, his readers.
Your email address is never shared with anyone.

Changing your subscribed email address
If you want to change the address you're subscribed with, just subscribe with your new email, and unsubscribe your old one as described above.
If you want to change your subscription address because you no longer have access to your old email address, just sign up with your new address. Your old address will be removed from the list automatically.
Why am I not getting Fred's columns by email?
If you have completed the subscription process above, the mailing list software should be sending the columns to you when Fred posts them - that may take a week or two after you first subscribe! You won't get one the instant you sign up.
If, after a few weeks, you still don't receive one, please check your spam or junk mail folders. Webmail providers - especially Gmail, Microsoft, and Yahoo - have very aggressive filters that send a lot of mailing list mail to your junk folder. If you mark the list messages as "not spam", it should eventually stop doing that to you. There's not much we can do about their filter policies.
